Resurseffektivitet - energi, materialflöden och ekosystemtjänster
Population growth and economic development put pressure on drastically increased resource efficiency. The objective is to study barriers and drivers for an efficiency improvement, with a focus on energy, material flows and ecosystem services. The present situation, together with already implemented good solutions, is presented. Tools and concepts like Ecological footprints, Waste hierarchy, Decoupling, Resilience, Virtual water and Rebound effect are studied. Options for policy measures are analyzed. A couple of reports, written by different societal actors, describing the future challenge and proposals of needed actions are discussed. For the ecosystem service part, the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment is taken as starting point.
