Outdoor Education in schools.
The aim of the course is to explore outdoor education and its use in relation to different school subjects and sustainability. The course combines theory and practice, including outdoor settings for teaching and learning activities in nearby environment, nature and city context. Interrelations of nature and culture, how to work with inquiry-based learning and different perspectives of nature-based experiences are in focus. The course includes outdoor workshops, lectures and seminars of actual research. The course will also give opportunities to share experiences and knowledge from a cross-cultural perspective.
