Project Management C

The course has a strong student oriented focus on the learning assignments. Initially, the students produce an interview with an experienced project manager of their choice. The interview clip then forms the basis for discussions in class. Later, the students write and present a case on a project management related topic of their choice. The cases are building on the experience of the students or from access provided by the students. Each semester we ask the authors of the best cases to grant us the possibility of using their cases in future courses. In this course, we also invite an experienced professional to the course to discuss in real time the challenges of being a project manager.Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:- have a detailed understanding of project management concepts from a contextual, global perspective- identify different manager's styles and tasks of project leadership- explain how individual skills, personalities and attitudes contribute to successful team management- identify, compare and recommend different leadership strategies to create innovative project environments- analyse real life projects by the application of project management theories.This course will offer knowledge of- different theoretical project perspectives- the foundation of the project- project leadership challenges- the project role in society.For more information please visit www.hig.se
