Would you like to get hand-on research experience, becoming part of anactual linguistic research project? English at Karlstad University isnow offering Master?s level students the opportunity to participate inongoing research projects, for course credit. Students will become amember of the project team and work in close collaboration withresearchers based in the department, and at times with their nationaland international collaborators. Tasks may include logistical projectplanning, reviewing of research literature, communicating withinformants, and contributing to data collection, preparation, andanalysis. The exact nature of tasks depends on the project contributionagreed on at the outset of the course. Advanced academic andself-directed learning skills as well as proficiency in scholarlydiscourse in English are expected. This course is highly recommended ifyou are planning to continue on to PhD studies.
