Applied Ethology and Animal Biology, masterprogram - Ansökningsomgång för svenska och EU/EEA-studenter
If you have a bachelors degree in biology and are interested in biodiversity and the well-being of animals, the Applied Ethology and Animal Biology programme will open the door to work in this area. Here, you gain solid knowledge in both theory and methodology. During the first year of study, courses in ethology are followed by courses in stress, cognition, behavioral genetics and conservation biology. Apart from lectures and seminars, you will experience field trips, meet alumni and professionals, and carry out practical studies on farm animals, laboratory animals and zoo animals. There are also opportunities for a professional internship to gain extra work experience. In the second year, you will perform your masters degree project. Graduates may work with animal and environmental issues at public and private organisations, both nationally and internationally, or as advisers to NGOs, zoos or private companies.
