Business Administration: Global Business Responsibility

The overall goal with the course is to introduce students to concepts and theories regarding the role of business organisations in a global society as well as how this can be handled in relation to other actors in this context. The intention is to engage students with various ethical perspectives and the organisational challenges involved when interplaying with other actors. During the first part of the course, various perspectives on globalisation, responsibility, sustainability and development will be introduced. After this, ethical dilemmas will be taken up through a focus on actors and their respective interests regarding social issues concerning business in a global context. Students will work from various themes treating the course content. Guest lecturers with various theoretical as well as practical backgrounds regarding how businesses and other organisations respond to issues regarding social responsibility and ethical dilemmas will be invited to the course.
